Nice book.
Escher's work is so engaging and interesting. Everyone has seen Escher's work, even if they don't know the name. I've used his work to teach math, graphics, and problem solving. My college students love analyzing his work.I bought this book as a gift, and it was an excellent choice. There are many example works in the book, plus interesting explanations.

Actually, I'm a docent at the North Carolina Museum of Art, and we are having a special exhibition of Escher's work this fall. I am reading the book to learn about him and his work. This fills the bill!
I do love books (enough to constantly find new owners for old favorite-necessitating frequent replacements...) I particularly like the clarity & generous size of many of the reproductions in this volume..
I bought this for my son and his wife for Christmas. I had one of Escher's books many years ago and this one is different but I think they will like it.
